I like the way I feel when I am Tangling!

Sometimes I can have a hectic day, or maybe I am in a sour mood and I have noticed that the process of tangling changes the way I am feeling. When I am tangling, I find myself breathing slower and deeper and I also get a sense of general well-being. For me, the benefits of tangling do not end as soon as I finish the tile or ZIA that I am working on. Ā I feel balanced and content for hours after I finish the session.

For grins and giggles, I am thinking about doing a series of tiles while riding public transit here in Portland, Oregon. šŸ˜‰ How fun! It is a snap to take tangling on the road, and it can be done almost anywhere.Hmmm, I wonder which tangles to use? Ideas are welcomed, wanted and appreciated.

About Me

Pegi Schargel is a business woman, an artist, and Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) trained by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, the founders of ZentangleĀ®.

Schargel says she has been teaching for more years than she wishes to count. The importance of demonstration, patience, and listening was learned with some of her first students who were developmentally disabled. She then taught computer lab classes to K-5 students and her heart was won with endeavoring to become a lifelong learner and teacher.

Pegi is the co-owner of the Portland Walking Tours, Big Red Arrow, Hometown Advantage, and Run Brain Run companies in Portland Oregon and Seattle Washington. Although being a business woman is satisfying, it does not fulfill two of her constant yearnings… the desire to teach in a classroom-like setting, and the need for an outlet for free creative artistic expression. Do More Art fulfills those needs and today she meets these needs by creating art daily and sharing her love of Zentangle by teaching others. Let her show you how fulfilling art can be.
